What a milestone this long weekend is going to symbolise for our green and utterly pleasant land! This year, Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service. Not only must this feel a huge achievement and such a proud moment for The Queen herself and her family, but for the Great British Public too!
It is a very poignant reminder to us all of the devotion and dedication Her Majesty has shown to her country and the Common Wealth for all these years.
It is going to showcase to the rest of the world the enormous level of detail and tradition that the United Kingdom does so incredibly well. Union Jacks will be flying high in the sky, representing our wonderful nation from every corner. The Royal family and Her Majesty will be on parade to celebrate the occasion and I cannot wait to see this historical moment unfold throughout the days.
The long weekend gives us a chance to celebrate something truly British. Something that brings each and every one of us together. We think this chance to get together, after such a torrid two years of no gatherings, will see the country embrace this opportunity in a massive way and really pull out all the stops to make it a truly wonderful and memorable occasion.
To me the Royal Family symbolise a cross-generational tradition and deep rooting of this amazing country we call home. The ceremonies, parades and services that will take place are all a huge part of our heritage as a nation. Grandchildren to Grandparents alike can sit together as equals to enjoy the dazzling days! A tradition that is so symbolic to our country!

I plan on laying a really colourful and inviting table, complete with union jack flags, delicious treats, friends, family, cake, tea (of course) and perhaps a little champagne too!
